UA student passes away after motorcycle accident

TUCSON- A 19-year-old University of Arizona student passed away Friday evening from injuries he sustained in a motorcycle accident.

According to Deputy Tom Peine with the Pima County Sheriff's Department, Spencer Repp hit a guard rail near milepost 12 on Catalina Highway and flipped off his bike.

Repp was airlifted to University of Arizona Medical Center, where he passed away from his injuries.

Peine said the investigation continues, but speed was a factor in the crash.
