TUCSON - Minimal Monsoon action again this afternoon.
The dividing line between dry & moist air currently resides over Three Points, according to News 4 Meteorologist Jeff Beamish. Areas west of Three Points should expect a few isolated thunderstorms today, while areas east will see partly cloudy skies. Today's forecast high of 100 degrees in Tucson would be the 67th triple digit day of the year.
Our exclusive Monsoon Prediction Index sits at 2 out of 10 today, as any storm that develops west of Tucson has a low severe weather threat.
Monsoon moisture returns over most of southern Arizona tomorrow, in advance of a West Coast trough. Isolated thunderstorms are possible Friday through the Labor Day weekend as high temps top out in the upper 90's. A widespread storm outbreak is not anticipated at this point.
