Umbrella weather 24 hours away

TUCSON - If you love warm weather, get outside and enjoy today.

High pressure departing the state brings one more day of mostly sunny skies, according to News 4 Meteorologist Jeff Beamish. Daytime highs this afternoon top out in the upper 80's for Tucson, which is right on par with early October averages.

A cold front near the California coast is taking aim at Arizona, moving in tomorrow. Gusty south winds over 20 MPH are expected Thursday along with a slight chance of isolated showers by the evening hours. A better chance of showers looks likely overnight Thursday through lunchtime Friday. Rain totals should fall between 0.10-0.25".

Along with the rain chance comes much cooler weather. Friday's forecast high of 76 degrees is 10 shy of the average high. Low 50's greet the early risers Saturday morning.

Weather bounces back by the weekend and early next week. High pressure develops over the eastern Pacific, bringing 80's and 90's Sunday through Tuesday.
