UPDATE: Officers involved in shooting not hurt

TUCSON - Tucson Police officers involved in a shooting Friday evening were not injured, according to a spokesperson.

We're told the incident started around 7:30 p.m. on the 2600 block of 14th Ave just west of Oracle at a residence across from Nash Elementary school.

Police say they were trying to serve a search warrant for weapons misconduct.

Police say the suspect saw the officers and fled on foot. The officers then followed the suspect.

Police say there was an exchange of shots between the suspect and the officers.

Police say the officers were not hurt.

Police say the suspect was shot multiple times. Police say he is in stable condition at the hospital.
