TUCSON - Gusty Southwest winds over 40 mph were occurring across Southern Arizona Tuesday.
A strong area of low pressure in Nevada is moving into the region kicking up the winds and blowing dust. News 4 Tucson's Chief Meteorologist Matt Brode says the strongest winds will subside after sunset.
Behind the strong wind maker, much cooler temperatures are expected for the remainder of the week. Highs on Wednesday will struggle to reach 70 degrees in Tucson.
April 17, 2013 is the last time Tucson failed to reach at least 70 degrees for a daily high.
