The following is a release from Sierra Vista Police:

SIERRA VISTA - Back on Sunday, December 16, 2012, at approximately 1:00 p.m., a 76 year old blind man and his 69 year old wife, who just had leg surgery, had finished shopping at Fry's Food Store, located at 4351 East Highway 90, and were loading their groceries into the back of a truck when a suspect ran up to the cart and took the woman's purse.

The suspect, a white male wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with white graphics on the back, grabbed the woman's purse from the shopping cart and ran east through the parking lot where he jumped a fence and headed east towards Tree Top Avenue.

The Sierra Vista Police now have a photo and video images of the suspect's clothing and are requesting information regarding the identity of the suspect.
