TUCSON - Chamber of commerce weather as you head back to work and school.
A ridge of high pressure supplies sunny skies today, according to News 4 Meteorologist Jeff Beamish. Highs reach the low 90's in Tucson, which is 6-8° above average for mid-April.
Gusty winds return to the forecast tomorrow and Wednesday, courtesy of a cold front passing north of the state. Areas east of Tucson are under a Fire Weather Watch Wednesday, as 20-25 MPH winds combine with low relative humidity to create a high fire danger. Daytime temps by Wednesday drop to the mid 80's.
Models hint at a second storm system arriving late week. There is a slight chance of mountain showers Saturday, while valley floors see another round of gusty winds.
