TUCSON - The weekend and month of December is underway with more above average temperatures.
A daytime high of 77 in Tucson makes for the 18th straight day we've been above the normal mark, according to Meteorologist John Patrick. Little change is expected to round out the weekend with a forecast high of 78 under generally sunny skies.
A weak trough works to the north of the state on Monday for a day of slight cooling but after that things heat right back up. The 80s make a return for a December appearance on Tuesday and Wednesday. A forecast high of 82 on Wednesday is one shy of the 83 record set back in 1939.
Watching a system for late next week that should drop our temperatures back down a little closer normal. Low 70s wrap up the upcoming work week but still no rain or major cool downs in sight.
