TUCSON - High pressure builds temperatures into the 70s for winter's start.

Tucson International topped out at the 70 mark today making it the warmest day in about two weeks, according to Meteorologist John Patrick. Similar conditions kick off the weekend with highs in the upper 60s and low 70s under mostly sunny skies.

A Christmas cold front brings some changes to southern Arizona by late Monday with a slight chance of valley rain and mountain snow. The bulk of the precipitation will stay north of Tucson with this system. Count on cooler temperatures Christmas Eve and Christmas day with highs dipping back down into the low 60s.
