Warmest Thanksgiving weekend on record

TUCSON - The Old Pueblo sets a new record for warmest Thanksgiving holiday weekend.

Thanks to a string of daytime highs in the 80s over the past several days a record that has been standing since 1950 has fallen, according to Meteorologist John Patrick. Over the four day holiday weekend the average temperature in Tucson was 67.1 beating the long standing record of 66.1. Today's high of 82 was actually the fifth straight day with temperatures reaching 80 or better.

A weak trough moving to north of Arizona tomorrow will start the work week out with temperatures dipping back down into the mid 70s. The 70s should stick around through the remainder of your seven day forecast as zonal flow sets up over the southwest. Besides a few high clouds moving through our area during the middle of the week dry air and gentle winds should make up the forecast.
