Warmth stays, sun fades

TUCSON - Warm temps with a touch of cloud cover.

High pressure over northwestern Arizona supplies daytime highs 4-6 degrees above average the next few days, according to News 4 Meteorologist Jeff Beamish. Under mostly sunny skies, highs today reach the upper 70's with 80's possible west of the metro.

Cloud cover increases tonight, ahead of a weak trough pushing toward the state. Partly cloudy skies are on tap tomorrow through Saturday with temperatures remaining in the upper 70's. Overnight lows should drop into the upper 40's to low 50's with the clouds.

A sneak peak at early next week shows less cloud cover and slightly cooler temps, with mid 70's during the daytime hours starting Sunday.
