TUCSON - Morning clouds will quickly give way to mostly sunny skies on Wednesday. Highs will remain unusually warm, in the mid to upper 70s - about 5 degrees above average.
In the forecast now: our first major weather maker since last year. An area of low pressure will be along the California Coast on Friday. Ahead of this system, winds will pick-up on Thursday and into Friday.
Valley rain and high elevation Mountain snow will overspread the region by Saturday and into Sunday. It is still too soon to pinpoint exact rain/snow totals, but most of our forecasting tools indicate a widespread event.
