TUCSON - It's a much quieter day of weather across SE Arizona as high pressure has moved to a less favorable position for storm development.
Most of the storms are firing up over the higher terrain in the White Mountains where some flooding rain is likely.
Storm chances for the valley floors will remain low through much of the upcoming weekend. Another increase in storm activity can be expected late this weekend and into the first part of next work-week.
Some signs indicate temperatures flirting with record heat by the middle of next week as storm chances decrease again.
We'll continue to watch this trend closely.
