TUCSON - It's another mostly sunny and mild day of weather across the region. Breezy conditions will persist into the early evening hours before tapering off. It's a slow cool down with temperatures lingering in the 60s through 10 p.m.
Next up: wind, rain and mountain snow.
Gusty SW winds will pick-up by Friday and blowing dust may be present. Winds could gust to 35 mph ahead of the rain maker.
Valley rain begins Saturday morning and should linger into the first half of Sunday. There is a good degree of confidence that Tucson and points north could see 0.5" - 1.00" of rain while 0.25" - 0.5" is more likely for Cochise and Santa Cruz Counties.
A Winter Storm Watch has been issued for our mountaintops above 7000' from Saturday through Sunday. Up to a foot of snow could fall on Mt. Lemmon and 2 feet is possible for the White Mountains.
