TUCSON - Highs on the rise into this weekend but our next winter storm is already on the way.
High pressure building into Southern Arizona this weekend will warm things back up to normal, according to Meteorologist John Patrick. After starting your Saturday off below the freezing mark across Tucson temperatures will quickly rise into the low to mid 60s for daytime highs under sunny skies. A continued warm up into Sunday has us wrapping the weekend with a high of 66, our first above average high since December 26.
It's right back down from there as our next winter storm tracks our way early next week. Isolated valley rain showers and mountain snow is possible for Southern Arizona on Monday afternoon into the early morning hours on Tuesday. Cooler temperatures will also accompany this system dropping us back into the upper 50s and low 60s to start the week.
