TUCSON - Breezy conditions and high fire danger return for Father's Day weekend.
A weak weather disturbance moves through Northern Arizona today ushering in gusty winds and drier air. Gusts between 30-40mph this afternoon and decreasing humidity combine critical fire danger across the region.
A Red Flag Warning is in effect from noon to 8pm this evening for areas southeast of Tucson. Any fires that do develop will see rapid an erratic growth.
Daytime highs for Father's Day weekend will range from 100-103 degrees under generally sunny skies.
Deep moisture will remain in Northern Sonora heading into early next week but a few cloud build-ups will be possible in the mountains near the Arizona-Mexico border starting Monday.
