TUCSON - Wet and white across the Grand Canyon state the next 48 hours.
Here is the latest forecast breakdown for southern Arizona, courtesy of News 4 Meteorologist Jeff Beamish:
TIMING - Scattered showers today. Heaviest & most widespread rains arrive to Tucson late tonight and linger through Saturday afternoon. Showers taper off to the isolated variety Sunday. Monday looks drier with mostly sunny skies.
RAIN TOTALS - 0.50-1.50" for Metro Tucson and areas east. Central and western Pima County are under a Flood Watch until 5 AM Saturday, where 1-3" may fall.
SNOWFALL - Winter Storm Warning goes active at 6 PM tonight & expires Sunday morning. Snow level drops to 6,000 feet late tomorrow night. 6-12" snow for Mt. Lemmon, 10-20" atop Mt. Graham & in the White Mountains.
TEMPERATURE/WINDS - Highs Friday in the mid 60's, struggling to reach 60° Saturday and Sunday. Gusty winds up to 25 MPH today and Saturday.
SENSIBLE WEATHER IMPACTS - Running washes this weekend, snow-covered roads for areas above 6,000 feet. A few towns may set daily rainfall records, likely west of Tucson. El Tour and the UA/Oregon football game still looks wet.
