Widespread freeze tonight, warm start to February

TUCSON - Gone is the snow, now comes a cold night.

A departing cold front leaves behind a chilly 24 hours for southern Arizona, according to News 4 Meteorologist Jeff Beamish. Under mostly sunny skies, high temps today run 15 degrees below average for late January. It's going to be a cold one tonight, with Tucson and most of southern Arizona dropping at/below 32 degrees.

Temperatures rebound the remainder of the week, as high pressure slides in from the Pacific. 60 degree temps return Thursday with 70's on tap Friday into the weekend.
