Winter feel almost here

TUCSON - Temperatures continue to tumble closer to December normals this weekend.

Waking up to morning lows in the 40s across the Old Pueblo with a forecast high of 72 this afternoon, the coolest high of the month, according to Meteorologist John Patrick. The upper 60s return on Sunday for temps even closer to average for this time of year.

Breezy to windy conditions accompany a cold front moving through the state late Sunday afternoon. The strongest gusts will remain mainly north and east of Tucson reaching speeds of 30-35mph.

The same cold front ushers in even cooler temperatures by early Monday morning as the lows return to the mid 30s for Tucson. A forecast high of 61 starts the work week bringing the first below average temperatures in nearly a month. Many areas will wake up to freezing temperatures come Tuesday morning.

Watching a second cold front late next week that could bring another winter blast to the region. For now this system seems to have a bit more moisture associated with it for a slight chance of valley rain and mountain snow late Thursday into Friday.
