Winter storm twin-billing 36 hours away

TUCSON - Say goodbye to the 80's and say hello to a double dose of showers.

A mild, but cloudy day is on tap this afternoon, according to News 4 Meteorologist Jeff Beamish. Areas from Tucson & west could see a few sprinkles today, but nothing more than that. Highs this afternoon reach the mid 70's in the metro.

Rain chances increase tomorrow, ahead of a low pressure trough near southern California. Expect scattered showers Friday night, becoming widespread Saturday. A few rumbles of thunder can't be ruled out with this activity. Sunday looks dry before another shot of showers and mountain snow arrives Monday and Tuesday. High temps early next week plummet to the 50's and 60's.
