Winter weather rolls into this work week

TUCSON - Another system moving into Southern Arizona will keep the cool air around and bring another chance of showers.

Day two of four with near freezing morning lows expected to kick off the work week, according to Meteorologist John Patrick. If Tucson hits the freezing mark Monday morning it will be for the fourteenth time this year. In 2012 there were only two freeze dates through the entire month of February.

Another cold front will clip Southern Arizona late Monday afternoon and evening bringing a chance for isolated valley rain and mountain snow. Snow accumulations look light with a dusting down to 3,000 feet and 1-3" possible in the mountains. Valley rainfall also looks minimal with most sites seeing less than 0.10".

A warming trend takes off by midweek with normal temperatures returning under sunny skies. The 70s are back by next weekend as high pressure builds into the southwest. Check out your True View 4 extended forecast by clicking here.
