TUCSON - A Phoenix woman has died in a motorcycle crash in Southern Arizona.
It happened Saturday afternoon on State Route 83, also known as Sonoita Highway, at mile post 48.
Department of Public Safety officials say the 28-year-old woman was a passenger on a motorcycle that was traveling with a group of motorcycles.
Her motorcycle went down for some unknown reason.
She was thrown from the motorcycle and died at the scene.
A 23-year-old man driving the motorcycle was flown to the hospital in serious condition.
