TUCSON - High pressure will supply near ice breaking temperatures as we head into the middle of the work week.
The Old Pueblo topped 96 this afternoon making it the warmest day of May so far, according to Meteorologist John Patrick. Unfortunately, we aren't done warming up quite yet adding a degree or two to the thermometer each day as an area of high pressure builds into the Four Corners.
Temperatures peak on Thursday with a forecast high of 99 making it our best shot so far this year to hit our first triple digit temperature. If you think we get that extra degree to reach 100 make Thursday your Ice Break guess. Get started here for a chance to beat the heat on a Hawaiian vacation.
