Wrapping Winter on a warm note

TUCSON - Another 80 degree afternoon on tap for the final day of Winter.

High pressure parked over the West Coast drives in some cloud cover today, according to News 4 Meteorologist Jeff Beamish. Despite partly cloudy skies, highs top out in the low 80's in the Tucson metro. Expect similar weather for the first day of Spring tomorrow.

Gusty winds and cooler temps arrive by the weekend, thanks to a cold front passing north of the area. 30 MPH gusts and highs in the 70's are in the forecast starting Saturday, with low 70's for highs early next week. Overnight lows through next Monday drop to the 40's and 50's.
