TUCSON - A man has been extricated from his car after losing control on I-10 and crashing into a guardrail. The guardrail went into the car, trapping the victim and impaling him.
The accident happened Monday evening on the interstate near Orange Grove Road.

TUCSON - Northwest Fire crews are on scene of an accident on I-10 eastbound, north of Orange Grove.
Captain Adam Goldberg says a car crashed into a guardrail and the guardrail has impaled the vehicle. A medical helicopter is on the ground awaiting the patient to be extricated from the wreckage to be flown to the trauma center at UAMC.
I-10 is closed, eastbound.

TUCSON - The right turn lane onto Ina Road from the westbound I-10 frontage road will be closed beginning 6 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 16, through 6 a.m. Monday, Nov. 18, to allow the Union Pacific Railroad to reset a track panel, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.
Drivers may use the Cortaro Road or Orange Grove Road exits. The westbound I-10 frontage road will remain open.
