PHOENIX - Authorities arrest a man they say led them on a high-speed highway chase west of Phoenix Friday afternoon.

Officials say the chase started on northbound State Route 85, then continued onto eastbound Interstate 10 Friday afternoon.

Arizona Department of Public Safety officials first spotted the silver FJ Cruiser around 4:30 pm, reaching speeds of over 100 miles per hour.

Police used stop sticks to deflate the vehicle's tires, then a Maricopa County Sheriff's vehilce hit the back end, spinning the suspect vehicle to a stop.

The driver was the only occupant in the car, was arrested outside the vehicle and is now in custody.
