Posted 2:17 PM 12/3/2012 : Flooding continues in California
(NBC NEWS) - Days of heavy rain and high winds in northern California have triggered flash flooding, downed trees and power outages for thousands.
"I have never seen it like this before ever. I cannot believe how much rain we got in such a short period of time," says Chrissy Donlan of Stockton.
Three storms over five days pushed down trees and power lines.
More than 600,000 lost electricity across the state.
Driving rains washed away roads and swallowed neighborhoods.
Rain turning to snow saved the higher elevations, stopping the flow of water into swollen creeks and rivers there.
There is concern more could be on the way.
Forecasters say another round of rain and snow on Tuesday could again affect the areas already soaked and struggling.
