Posted 10:12 AM 9/13/2013 : Closing time for Monsoon 2013
TUCSON - Last chance for metro storms comes this afternoon.
Enough moisture and instability is in place for isolated storms along and east of a Tucson-Nogales line, according to News 4 Meteorologist Jeff Beamish. Some metro spots may see rain, but most areas stay dry. Storm chances decrease after sunset.
High pressure off Baja California drives in much drier air this weekend, shutting down Monsoon 2013 in Tucson. Expect a slight chance of an isolated storm or two across Cochise, Graham and Greenlee Counties Saturday & Sunday.
The Monsoon shuts down for everyone early next week, as high temps threaten triple digits in the Old Pueblo.
