Posted 10:07 AM 8/15/2013 : Measly Monsoon continues for the Old Pueblo
TUCSON - Another day where areas south & east of Tucson stand the best chance at storms.
Ample moisture is present, but the atmosphere is not very unstable, according to News 4 Meteorologist Jeff Beamish. Areas along and east of a Nogales-Green Valley-Safford line will see scattered storms today. West of this line, including Tucson, storms will be more isolated in nature.
Today's forecast high of 103° would go down as the 55th triple digit day of 2013 in Tucson.
A southeasterly flow aloft maintains enough Monsoon moisture for a daily round of isolated storms tomorrow through the middle of next week. Santa Cruz and Cochise Counties likely see most of this activity.
