TUCSON - First comes the winds, then the rain & snow, followed by a slice of frigid air.

A cold front moving in to the state brings gusty winds this afternoon and evening, according to News 4 Meteorologist Jeff Beamish. Late tonight is when scattered showers & snow above 3,500 feet develop, tapering off by Friday morning. Up to 0.10" rain is expected for Tucson, with a light coating of snow possible for Vail, SaddleBrooke and Catalina tonight.

Arctic air settles in tomorrow & lingers through the middle of next week. Overnight lows in the mid/upper 20's start Friday night for Tucson, where a Hard Freeze Watch is in effect through Monday morning. This is a life-threatening, pipe-bursting air mass, so please take the necessary precautions.
