TUCSON - Any weather of significance remains a few days away from southern Arizona.
The next 48 hours features a slow-moving trough north of the state, according to News 4 Meteorologist Jeff Beamish. This brings the area mostly sunny skies and daytime highs in the low to mid 90's through Thursday. High temps will run at or slightly above average for late September.
Hurricane Miriam continues its northward trek as a category 2 storm with 100 MPH sustained winds. Miriam's track puts it on the central Baja coast by Saturday, keeping most of the tropical moisture south of the border. There is a slight chance of isolated storms Friday and Saturday area-wide, but any chance of widespread rainfall is looking less likely.
Early next week features temps in the low to mid 90's with partly cloudy to mostly sunny skies.
