Posted 3:22 PM 6/17/2013 : Dry weather returns
TUCSON - The first Monday of the monsoon has turned sharply dry and hot.
The area of high pressure that pumped weekend moisture across Southeast Arizona has shifted to the East and has carried this moisture away.
In its wake: dry and hot conditions with the mercury riding above 100 degrees each day this week.
Some signs indicate that some additional moisture may try and enter the region again later in the workweek, but for now, it's a dry and hot period of weather for your upcoming week.
On a separate note, TIA has recorded at least 100 degrees each day this June, and as of now, June 2013 ranks as the second hottest June on record.
