TUCSON - A pair of Tucson girls who were abducted months ago are back in Tucson, safe and sound.
Police in Hermosillo, Sonora tracked down 2-year-old Caroline Oddo and 1-year-old Estella Lovemore Thursday.
The girls were reportedly living in a house with their respective parents, Luis Palacio and Danielle Lovemore, who do not have custody of their kids.
Palacio was detained and then released in Mexico. Lovemore was deported back to the U.S. and charged with custodial interference. Lovemore is currently behind bars at the Pima County Jail with a $25,000 bond.
Anna Oddo spoke to News 4 Tucson about the reunion with her daughter Caroline.
"It's just the best feeling in the world knowing that I'm a mom again, I mean I know I always was but it's just the best feeling knowing that she's right there," Oddo told News 4 Tucson.
Caroline and Estella were brought back from Mexico Friday, putting an end to a months-long ordeal.
It wasn't until Anna had Caroline in her arms that she truly believed her daughter was back.
"It was just too hard to be here and look at all the toys and look at all the things she can't play with," Oddo said of the time she had to live without her daughter.
But tonight, there was a moment of peace as Anna put her daughter to bed.
"It's the perfect feeling really to know that you're going to put your child to bed and know she's going to be up tere in the morning," Oddo said.
However, there is still one worry that Anna holds on to--the fear that Palacio will return.
News 4 Tucson spoke to Estella's biological father. He said he was beyond ecstatic that both girls were home safe.
