TUCSON - Pacific storm system brings best chance of rain in over a month to Southern Arizona. Tucson topped out at 91 degrees this afternoon making it the third straight day with temperatures about 7-10 degrees above average. A storm system will move through the region starting tomorrow ushering in cooler temperatures and even bringing a slight chance of rain. Starting tomorrow afternoon we should have enough moisture to support isolated showers and thunderstorms across the region. The best chance for measurable rainfall, however, will be in the higher elevations east of Tucson. We'll keep the mention of showers and storms around into Saturday afternoon but any rain that does fall will remain light. The biggest thread this weekend will be gusty winds and dry lightning strikes. Temperatures in the low to mid 80s will accompany this system for both Friday and Saturday. We start to dry out and warm back up for your Easter Sunday with highs near 88 degrees under generally sunny skies. The low 90s return early next week and you can check that out in your True View 4 extended forecast by clicking here. Enter News 4 Tucson's Ice Break Contest here.
