Awaiting Autumn's first big cool-down

TUCSON - The Old Pueblo's putting the wraps on the 3rd warmest October on record. High pressure moves across the state to end the month, according to News 4 Meteorologist Jeff Beamish. As a result, highs will range from the upper 80's today to the low 90's for Halloween. Sunny skies are expected this afternoon. A powerful storm system in the Gulf of Alaska is poised to end the warm spell heading into November. By Friday, a cold front may develop a few isolated showers near the New Mexico state line. This weekend features gusty winds up to 25 MPH, along with patchy blowing dust on I-10. Temperatures tumble too, with highs early next week in the low to mid 70's. Lows by daybreak Monday & Tuesday look to drop to the upper 40's, with 30's possible in eastern Cochise County. Watch Jeff for a complete look at your News 4 Tucson forecast today at noon.
