TUCSON - While the brunt of Odile missed the City of Tucson, extremely heavy rain fell across much of Santa Cruz, Cochise and Graham Counties. The San Pedro River crested over its banks near Palominas and the Santa Cruz River was on the rise in many parts of Santa Cruz County. All of these rises were due to over 3" of rain which fell as the remnants of Odile raced through the area on Wednesday. River levels are now falling and most of the rain has ended. Enough moisture will be available for isolated storms through the next several days, but the threat of widespread flooding has ended. Temperatures will remain in the low 90s for highs, which is a few degrees below average for the middle of September.
