TUCSON - Monsoon 2014 set to return after hot holiday weekend. Tucson was able to reach its 62nd triple digit day of the year on Labor Day, recording a high of 103 degrees. Daytime highs will remain in the 100-103 degree range through midweek before the monsoon starts to make its return. By Wednesday afternoon, a few storms may fire up near the international border with isolated storms possible southern Arizona wide on Thursday. Heading into the upcoming weekend our storm chances increase courtesy of the tropics. We'll be watching for a surge of moisture coming up the Gulf of California to bring scattered storms to the region starting on Friday and lasting into the weekend.
