Quiet weather pattern for holiday week

TUCSON - Quiet weather pattern sticks around into the new week. Temperatures are on the rise to start to the weekend with Tucson topping out at 63 degrees this afternoon. High pressure off the California Coast will continue to jump daytime highs up to near 70 degrees by Monday under mostly sunny skies. Temperatures will remain in the mid to upper 60s for most of the upcoming week before a cold front grazes by the state on Christmas day. Valley rain and mountain snow looks to stay in northern Arizona, but gusty winds and some cloud cover are likely for the holiday and Friday.
